This past Monday I walked and ran for an hour. That went o.k. Wednesday I decided to only walk a mile and then do a lot of different lifting, twisting, bending, crunching, on the various resistance machines. None are set up with a lot of weight and some are adjustable so you can find a comfortable zone. I also did a few things on the exercise ball. I hurt a little today so I guess I accomplished something.
Tomorrow we'll go for our Friday session and I'll see what I feel like doing when I get there. Spent 7 hours walking around department stores and malls today. Should have worn a pedometer just to see how far that took me.

5K INDOORS
Mostly walking, with some running mixed in, and I feel like I've accomplished something. Getting into the second week of fitness center workouts led me to give a 5K distance a try. The 3.1 miles on a state of the art treadmill will have to suffice. On the way to the center we drove down the same roads where I trained so much earlier this year. I'm already longing for spring.

DOING THE TURKEY TROT
It has been nearly a week since my last workout. Thanksgiving got in the way. We had a great Thanksgiving weekend and there wasn't any time for working out. Then on Sunday I came down with the flu. Not a good way to lose weight. I did though, according to the scale at the fitness center. We went today and I leisurely walked a mile and a half. Did 1000 steps on the elliptical. Survived.
I did feel like some chicken noodle soup last evening and this morning I had an egg, some bacon and toast. Getting back to normal.
The most notable thing about today's workout was that it energized me more than tired me. That has been the way it works all along and getting back into that groove is a great alternative to sitting here amid my t.v.'s and computers.
